Overview
Sumatra PDF is a free and open-source document reader for Windows. It is known for being small, quick to start and simple to use, which makes it a popular alternative to heavier PDF readers.
Besides PDF files, Sumatra PDF opens several e-book and document formats, including EPUB and MOBI e-books, CBZ and CBR comic book archives, DjVu, XPS and CHM help files. It supports tabs for reading several documents at once, keyboard shortcuts, full-screen and presentation modes, and printing. A portable version can run from a USB drive without installation. Its focus is reading rather than editing, so it does not include tools for changing PDF content.
Sumatra PDF suits anyone who wants a fast, distraction-free reader on an older or low-powered computer, and students reading large numbers of documents and e-books. The official website states that it contains no ads. Download it only from sumatrapdfreader.org.
