Overview
Clash of Clans is a free-to-play mobile strategy game developed and published by Supercell. It is available for Android and iOS and has been running since 2012.
Players build and upgrade a village, collect resources such as gold and elixir, and protect their base with defences, walls and traps. They train an army of troops, heroes and spells to attack other players’ villages and earn resources and trophies. Joining a clan lets you share troops with clan members, chat, take part in Clan Wars and Clan War Leagues, and work together in events such as Clan Capital raids. Progress is gradual, and upgrades take time to complete.
Clash of Clans is free to play. Gems, the premium currency, can be earned slowly through play or purchased, and an optional Gold Pass adds rewards; these speed up progress but are not required.
