Bluesky

Bluesky is a social network for short posts, built on the open AT Protocol. It is available on the web at bsky.app and as apps for Android and iOS, and it is free to use.

Bluesky looks familiar if you have used other microblogging sites: you can write posts with text, images and video, reply, repost and follow other accounts. Its distinctive features come from its open design. Custom feeds, many created by the community, let you choose how your timeline is organised, and you can subscribe to moderation lists and labelling services to shape what you see. You can also use your own website domain as your username, which helps verify identity.

Bluesky appeals to people who want more control over their social media experience and an alternative to centralised platforms. Set up muting, blocking and content filters to suit your preferences. Use the official app or website.
